FINI AWARDED SPECIAL MENTION AT CPH:DOX 2010

In the DANISH:DOX AWARD category at the 2010 COPENHAGEN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL "FINI" was given a special mention, among other things for its perfect framing of the scenes, which creates the framework for an untraditional portrait film.

The award was presented by Jury member Martin De Thurah who also read the following statements as the jurys motivation to choose "Fini":
In this film there is person, whom we watch very closely.
We follow every move, every detailed situation, we pause but we never know what to expect.
The focus on this person is sharply woven and we are constantly moved in this dance like scenario of a character who lives in a fragmented soul.
There's a simplicity in the structure, and a disciplined framing of every scene, that allows the character to evolve before our very eyes. In every new scene we get to know something new about this person.
This is a classic portrait, but it is more than that. It depicts a stage of life, we all fear, more than anything, and yet, it brings a lightness to it's subject, that helps us see the profoundness of life in all its stages.
We were glued to the screen, by its warmth, heart and soulfulness.
Its a scattered world, but its full of love and humour and a deep mystery we will never understand.
The jury is proud to present the honourable mention to a young man, who is an editor and also a director.

The CPH:DOX closing ceremony was held in a sold-out HAL D.
